PURPOSE:To improve detection probability and data acquisition efficiency by arranging a multitude of detectors spherically and densely arround an inspected body and processing the detection outputs of a multitude of detectors with a CT algorithm using the azimuth of the radiation detected with the detectors. CONSTITUTION:Such tracers as an isotope or position nuclear species is taken in a body 201 to be inspected and the body is put in a group of detectors 210. From the body 201, gamma-ray due to the decay of the tracer is emitted in all directions. This gamma-ray goes in one of the detector group 210. According to the output current for each incidence direction into the particular detector, relative gamma-ray incidence positions s, z, x, y are output from a signal processing circuit 220. A computer 230 calculates the output of the circuit 220 and obtains the azimuth of the gamma-ray from the position of the detector. Based on the azimuth, detection outputs from the multitude of detectors are collected as projection data, configurates the image of the inspected body based on the does distribution with a CT algorithm, and displays it as a cross sectional image 230 or a standing image.
