The working progress is achieved opto-electronically or by switches. A tool prism can accept tools of different dia. and thickness. Adjustable elements i.e. spring and pin, hold the mounted tool in a vertical position by mainly firm locking. In addition position holders can be used for individual tools. The tools are positioned also leaving gaps, at which they are seated on the cutter shafts. It is possible to lift a loaded tool combination, and apply this with a crane to the frame. USE/ADVANTAGE - Cutting wide strip material to form rolls or rings. Worker uses PC so that tools can be used in correct sequence. Tools are operated automatically and tool movement course is optimised and specified by computer.
