The document filming system has a unit (1) that has a CCD line scan camera (5) that provides output to an interface (5) to allow data to be compressed (8) into a form for recording into memory, e.g. disc. From this output may be generated for printing copies. At the same time the document may be scanned on both sides by a unit (2) having a pair of optical cameras. A mirror system allows the images to be focussed onto microfiche film. This may be developed and generated as output (6). USE/ADVANTAGE - Allows optical and electronic filming of documents.
