<p>PURPOSE:To provide a polyester resin for a toner excellent in thermal characteristics and electrostatic charge characteristics. CONSTITUTION:This polyester resin for a toner consists of 25-50mol% at least one kind of arom. dicarboxylic acid, 5-45mol% arom. diol represented by the formula, 5-45mol% aliphatic diol and 10wt.ppm to 1wt.% alkali metal compd. and/or alkaline earth metal compd. and has 40-75 deg.C glass transition temp., 85-170 deg.C softening temp. and 0.1-20mgKOH/g acid value. In formula, R is <=3C alkylene, each of X and Y is a positive integer and the sum of X and Y is 2-7.</p> |
