Building facade-repair system using cladding - fills space formed in intervening insulating material with hardening material to form cladding support bracket

The cladding (1) is secured to the stone or concrete wall (3) by an anchor (4) passing through a hole in it and an intervening insulating plate (2). Solvent or a cutting tool is introduced via the hole (7a) in the cladding, so as to form a space (6) in the insulating plate centred on the hole axis. A hardening bonding agent injected into the space forms a supporting bracket (5) for the cladding. The space can be approx. 200 mm. in dia. and mineral- or synthetic-resin-mortar can be used as the agent. An inspection drilling (11) can be formed in the cladding roughly 100 mm. above the anchor hole. USE/ADVANTAGE - Repair to building facade is simply carried out, and involves clamping cladding to wall without crack formation.
