PURPOSE:To provide a step motor driving circuit in which control operation is shortened while ensuring positive stoppage of step motor. CONSTITUTION:A rectifying circuit 4 is connected across exciting coils 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b wound around poles for respective phases of a step motor 1. When the exciting coils 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b are not subjected to excitation control through a DC power supply E, the rectifying circuit 4 is connected electrically with a booster converter 5 under control of a controller 6 thus recovering electromotive force, induced in the exciting coils 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b by the kinetic energy of the step motor 1, to the DC power supply E. Consequently, the step motor 1 is subjected to regenerative brake by this electric energy. |
