Rig for boat with outrigger - has mast stayed to hull on lee side and to outrigger on weather side
摘要
The main hull is sickle shaped with the ends turned to the lee side and with the mast centrally rigged. Stays on the lee side (6) support the mast on the hull while the weather stays (8) are secured on the outrigger boom. Additional stays (12) link the boom stay points to the hull. The boom has two spars joining at an apex on the outrigger while the hull ends are on sliding adjustments with an overhang (4c) to allow for adjustment. USE/ADVANTAGE - The combination of hull shape and adjustable mast rig enables a more stable rig to be obtained with less pressure on the bows.
