The flow divider (2) is located in the turbine entry, opposite to the intake and in front of the first guide row (3); resp. in the compressor entry, opposite to the intake and in front of the ribs. The flow divider is positioned in the central banking-up point of the housing flow. The divider has a thick-head profile with max. profile thickness and straight median line. The rear face of the flow divider is at right angles to the rotor shaft at a distance to the first guide row resp. ribs. There is free play between inner divider face and housing wall. The chord length of the divider decreases outwards. The front face of the divider is inclined. USE/ADVANTAGE - Rotating thermal machine. Large stabilization of flow, overflow is prevented/more difficult.
