PURPOSE:To obtain a very practical and highly reliable solar cell capable of increasing the thermal efficiency of the whole of the device by diffracting incident sunlight by hologram to obtain an image on a converting element. CONSTITUTION:When incident light 4 is projected against a hologram 2, provided on a wall under the eaves of a building 1, only the light in a selected wave length area among the incident light becomes diffraction light 5 and the image thereof is obtained on a converting element 3 provided below the eaves of the building 1. In this converting element 3, the diffraction light 5 from the hologram 2 is converted into light or heat while transmitted light 6 through the hologram 2 is projected against the ground surface around the building as if there is no hologram 2. Accordingly, the thermal efficiency of the converting element 3 can be increased by enlarging the effective diameter of the device since the incident light 4 is diffracted by the hologram 2 and the image can be obtained on the converting element 3 whereby very practical and highly reliable solar cell can be obtained. |
