<p>PURPOSE:To quickly and accurately retrieve the start position of a desired music section from a magnetic tape T where music sections M and inter-music parts N are alternately arranged. CONSTITUTION:The direction in which the start position of a music section M is retrieved is indicated by a music start/interval detection selecting circuit 4, and the inter-music part N is detected by an inter-music part detecting circuit part 5. In response to outputs of circuit parts 4 and 5' a music interval/music start detection operation circuit part 6 retrieves the start position or the end position of the inter-music part N as the start position of the music section M at the time of retrieval in the forward direction or the reverse direction during running in the music section part N. A start search correction circuit part 7 runs the magnetic tape from the retrieved start position in the same direction or the reverse direction furthermore to accurately settle the start position of the desired music, and reproducing is started.</p> |
