In appts. and numerical control for two-roll round bending, a conventional two-roll bending unit, comprising a rigid roll and a roll with an elastic coating, is integrated in a conventional press brake, shaping being effected kinematically by path- or force-controlled setting of one of the two rolls by means of machine and opt. auxiliary control or by use of fitted contouring tubes. Pref. force or path control of the press brake bolster is used for kinematic or shape-associated forming of thin sheets or profiles. This control is complemented by an auxiliary control which monitors and maintains the penetration depth of the rigid roll in the elastomer roll. ADVANTAGE - The appts. combines the advantages of a two-roll bender (high productivity, high precision and possibility of bending perforated sheet) with those of a press brake (CNC and auxiliary PC control, flexibility, etc.)
