Concn.-dependent surface tension of solns., partic. surfactant solns., is automatically measured in an arrangement of a thermostatically controlled measuring vessel (1), contg. soln. (3) at max. concn., to which solvent is supplied via a supply capillary (4) with ground end (9). A suction capillary (5) maintains constant soln. level in the vessel. A measuring body (6) is moved vertically and force exerted by the soln. is measured. ADVANTAGE - Accurate measurement over wide concn. range easily cleaned equipment.
