摘要 A front grip jaw (20) can be moved away from the rear grip jaw (21) linearly into an open position by means of a thrust cylinder (41) fitted on the fitment plate. The rear grip jaw (21) is connected at right-angles to an intermediate plate (49) arranged parallel to the fitment plate, which is displaceable relatively to the fitment plate. The front grip jaw for release of a battery is pivotable out of the open position into a location parallel to the fitment plate. On the intermediate plate (49) outside the grip range of the two grip jaws (20,21) and parallel to the rear grip jaw (21) a feed unit (25) is arranged for a fixture clamp (22) for the battery (17) and a fitment unit (28-31) for connecting the fixture clamp at the installation location of the battery. USE/ADVANTAGE - A compact equipment for gripping and fitting road vehicle batteries with a short work cycle, suitable for use on vehicle assembly lines.
