PURPOSE:To make a speedy communication by performing transmission through an ISDN line after instructing the disconnection with a facsimile communication network when detecting that an opposite ISDN communication equipment is using an FBOX. CONSTITUTION:A call control section 10 makes a call to the ISDN communication terminal equipment such as opposite facsimile equipments. When a call comes, it receives a response signal from the other party. In this case, when the control section 10 detects that the terminal equipment at the other transmission side is using the FBOX based on the response signal, a changeover transmission direction section 70 disconnects the line with the facsimile communication network of a communication control section 20. Then, with a telephone number held in a telephone number holding section 50, the transmission of information is through an ISDN line 30 to the opposite destination. Thus, the information can be speedily sent to the opposite party directly, not through the FBOX, so that a burden on a user is avoided. |
