<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a hydroplaning phenomenon detector which can detect the hydroplaning phenomenon accurately by taking advantage of the fact that a difference occurs in the number of revolutions of front wheels on the right and left when the phenomenon occurs in a front drive vehicle. CONSTITUTION:The number of revolutions of front wheels on the right and left is detected by a right front wheel rotating speed detection means 1R and a left front wheel rotating speed detection means 1L, respectively. The degree of proximation between a change pattern of rotating speed of right front wheel and a typical change pattern and the degree of proximation between a change pattern of rotating speed of left front wheel and a typical change pattern are obtained by a pattern comparison means 20, and a difference in each degree of proximation is calculated by a right and left front wheel proximation degree difference computing means 32. When the difference exceeds the difference judgement threshold which is set in advance, a phenomenon generation judgement means 35 which generates an output for detecting the hydroplaning phenomenon is provided.</p> |
