PURPOSE:To make the regulation of the value of an electric current possible, conducted through a superconductive coil, without any troublesome work. CONSTITUTION:A closed superconducting circuit comprises a superconducting coil 2 composed of superconducting wire 1, and a very small resistance 13 connected in parallel with part of the superconducting wire 1, in which persistent current flows. When the superconducting wire 1 is heated to bring the circuit into normal conduction, a shunt current flows through the resistance 13, so that the current flowing in the coil 2 is controlled. |
