PURPOSE:To properly use plural character fonts by designation of an electronic document offerer by providing a function for selecting and displaying the character font used for a display out of the character fonts of an IC card data by using a character font identification number. CONSTITUTION:The communication terminal is constituted of a main body 4 having a communication part 1 for executing a data communication to the outside by using a communication circuit 8, a display part 2 for displaying received by a character, and a central processing part 3 for executing a processing for converting the received data to a designated character font, and an IC card 7 in which a certification number 5 and a character font 6 are stored. In such a state, by using a character font identification number received immediately before receiving an electronic document of test data from the communication circuit 8, the character font used for a display is selected out of the character fonts of the IC cards 7, 13, and certification of a utilication contract of a user for a display and electronic document offerers 9, 10 is executed by the certification number of the IC cards 7, 13.
