Particle removal plant has a reduced pressure generating device (20) and a suction device, between which a particle sepn. system is located. The improvement is that the particle sepn. system comprises (i) of coarse particle sepn. cyclone (12) having an inlet (34), an outlet (62) and a particle collection tank (52); (ii) one or more wet mechanical separators (14, 16) which are connected to the cyclone separator (12) and which have an inlet (82), an outlet (134) and a liq. collection tank (120); (iii) a final separator (18), with a mechanical droplet separator (158) and an electrostatic dehumidifer (160), which is connected to the (last) wet separator (16) and which has an inlet (140), an outlet (150) and a water collection tank (148). The cyclone separator (12) is connected by its inlet (34) to the suction device and by its outlet (62) to the inlet (82) of the (first) wet separator (14). The outlet (134) of the (last) wet separator (16) is connected to the inlet (140) of the final separator (18), the outlet (150) of which is connected by piping to the reduced pressure generating device (20). USE/ADVANTAGE - The plant is used esp. for disposal of hazardous dust such as asbestos particles and provides reliable removal of such particles from air.
