PURPOSE:To provide a dictionary retrieving device which is capable of retrieving not only the information corresponding to a retrieval object character string but also the information corresponding to the character string which is the surrounding of or related to the retrieval object character string at the same time and outputting them. CONSTITUTION:After a retrieval control part 2 generates the related character strings of a retrieval object character string, using a conjugation word dictionary 6, a synthetic word dictionary 1 and a synonym dictionary 8, etc., when a retrieval object character string and the retrieval instruction of the surrounding information are inputted from an input part 1, the part 2 imparts these character strings to a dictionary retrieval part 3. After a dictionary retrieval part 3 obtains the information corresponding to the imparted character string by retrieving a dictionary storage part 4, the part 3 displays the retrieval result on a display part 5 via a retrieval control part 2. |
