PICTURE DATA PROCESSING UNIT

摘要

PURPOSE:To realize a picture data processing unit in which an arithmetic operation error is small and no picture distortion exists. CONSTITUTION:The processing unit is provided with a compression data storage device 21 storing picture data compressed by an N-point DCT arithmetic operation and an arithmetic operation device 22 obtaining M-point data by varying angles of cosine when the data compressed by N-point DCT arithmetic operation are decoded and adding data of the M-point obtained at every basic function of cosine to calculate magnified/reduced picture data and the magnified (reduced) picture data are prepared from the compressed picture data.
