Novel insertion elements, recombinant molecules and amplifiable nucleic acids and methods for making them are disclosed. The insertion elements and amplifiable nucleic acids can be used with nucleic acid hydridization assays. Also disclosed are libraries of the novel insertion elements, recombinant molecules and amplifiable nucleic acids and the use of such libraries in identifying preferred insertion elements, recombinant molecules and amplifiable nucleic acids of the invention. |
