PURPOSE:To provide an electrophotographic device for enhancing the precision of the life control of a unit by making the discrimination of newness/oldness easy and simple. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic device is provided with the process cartridge 4 of the unit which has finite service duration and can be exchanged, a device main body 2 to/from which the unit is attached/detached as necessary, the installation of the fuse 6 of a electronic device broken down by the supply of power from a device main body side, on a unit side and a decision control circuit 8 as a new/old deciding means deciding whether the fitted unit is a new or used one by the breakdown of the electronic device. |
