Rotating mirror streak camera with wobble correction - has light directed to rotating mirror with axis parallel to main optic axis and offset from axis by half silvered mirror

The camera has an inlet camera (3), a gap (4), a lens (5) and a reflecting mirror (6) arranged behind each other on the optical axis (7). The reflecting mirror is at right angles to a rotating mirror (8) which rotates about an axis parallel to the mirror plane and parallel to the main optic axis. The light is reflected to a drum (9) via the partly silvered mirror. A compensating plate is interposed in the optics to compensate for variations in light intensity across the image. The partly silvered mirror also provides a focus control image (10a). USE/ADVANTAGE - For photographing projectiles etc. The simple camera design provides a wobble free image without complex controls.
