PURPOSE:To obtain the optical switch circuit able to expand easily a switch size by providing an array waveguide type wavelength multiplexer/demultiplexer circuit whose output port position is decided according to a wavelength to an input position of an inputted optical signal. CONSTITUTION:Any of oscillating wavelengths lambda0-lambda2 is set to each of wavelength variable laser modules 310-312 respectively connect to input ports 300-302 and the laser modules 310-312 sends an optical signal modulated by an input electric signal to each input port of an array waveguide type wavelength multiplexer/ demultiplexer circuit 32. The circuit 32 decides an output port position depending on the wavelength and the input port position of the inputted optical signal, photodetection circuits 330-332 convert the optical signal into an electric signal, which is outputted to each of output ports 340-342. Through the constitution above, an optical device whose wavelength variable width is small is used and the attenuation of an optical signal laser attended with switching is small, then a low output laser is enough for the purpose, and a large scale optical switch circuit is realized in a small size and the optical switch circuit easily extending the switch size is obtained. |
