PURPOSE:To provide a heat exchanger having a light weight, a small size and a high heat exchanging efficiency by interconnecting a heat exchanging unit for connecting an upper tank to a lower tank between a plurality of tubes, and thinly forming a thin plate member for forming a gas passage separately from the tubes. CONSTITUTION:The heat exchanger comprises an upper tank 1 connected at one end with a fluid inlet tube 11 and provided at the other with a fluid discharge tube 12, and a lower tank 2. The upper tank is connected to the lower tank through a heat exchanging unit 3. The unit 3 includes a plurality of tubular parts to become fluid passages and a plurality of plate members 33 disposed adjacently and formed of plates for forming the gas passage between the tubular parts. The plates are thinly formed as compared with a thickness of the tubular parts separately from the plates. Further, it is desirable to form louvers at the plates obliquely in a direction for shutting OFF the passage. |
