PURPOSE:To measure the moving direction of a traveling body mounting a satellite broadcasting receiver accurately and simply. CONSTITUTION:A satellite broadcasting reception antenna 12 which is mounted to a traveling body is rotated toward a still satellite 11 by a satellite tracking control part 15 and an antenna rotary angle position theta when the antenna faces the still satellite is detected by an antenna rotary angle position detection part 19. A moving azimuth alpha of the traveling body is calculated by an absolute azimuth THETA at a moving azimuth operation part 20 and the antenna rotary angle thetawhen the still satellite is viewed from the traveling body. Also, when a device which can detect the longitude and latitude of the traveling body, for example a GPS (Global Positioning System), is provided at the traveling body, the absolute azimuth THETA is calculated from the longitude and latitude and the moving azimuth of the traveling body is measured by the absolute azimuth THETA and the rotary angle position theta at the moving azimuth operation part 20. |
