摘要 <p>The crankshaft (20) rotated by the engine (10) is coupled by means of a torque convertor (22) to the input shaft (28) of the gearbox (30). A control unit (34) responds to signals from sensors of accelerator pedal position (36), various engine and vehicle parameters (40, 42), and shaft rotational speeds (50, 54, 58). Fuel metering and ignition devices (12, 14), the throttle flap (18), the gearbox and the torque convertor are operated in accordance with torque set-point calculations which take into account mechanical losses in the transmission. ADVANTAGE - The desired value of engine output torque can be calculated easily and accurately from the driving torque set-point with allowance for the efficiency of the gear train.</p>
