发明名称 CARBON ELECTRODE, ITS MANUFACTURE, AND LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance the charge/discharge cyclic characteristics of a lithium secondary battery by increasing the output energy density and discharge capacity per unit volume. CONSTITUTION:1X10<-6> thru 1X10<-3> gram lithium ions are implanted into 1g carbon material with an acceleration energy of 5-500keV, and a carbon electrode is formed which suits the negative electrode of a lithium secondary battery. With implantation of lithium ions, a carbon electrode is obtained in which the lithium ions are distributed with the peak lying inside of the carbon material. The carbon material may be such as including a graphite crystalline part and amorphous part. The carbon material is prepared from carbonaceous particles consisting of quinoline undissolved portion, mesocarbon microbeads, aromatic resin, or petroleum or coal type pitch which are subjected to a baking at 500-3000 deg.C.
