PURPOSE:To accurately detect the white line of a traveling road. CONSTITUTION:The differential operators of the different differential directions of more than three types are previously stored in a storage part 11, the differential operator in the differential direction corresponding to the bearing, the present position and the travel direction of a vehicle, which are obtained by a navigation device 15 is read from the storage part 11. The differential operator is provided for an image-picked up image by an image processing means 4 so as to exchange line drawings. Thus, the differential operator in the differential direction coincident to the actual direction of the white line can be selected, and the differential operator is provided for the image-picked up image. Thus, the detection precision of the white line in the traveling road can be improved much more than a conventional case. |
