PURPOSE:To allow such control as the ratio between exciting current and excess current is kept constant even upon vibration of a motor. CONSTITUTION:In a driving method for step motor wherein a capacitor C1 for driving a step motor is charged with a supply current i1 and eventually discharged to produce an exciting current i2 which is then subjected to switching control in order to drive a step motor M stepwise, the difference i1-i3 between an exciting current i2 and an excess current i3 generated by the electromotive force of motor coils A-E at the time of step driving is sensed and DV voltage is controlled such that the difference i2-i3 is kept constant. |
