<p>The present invention provides a process for the restoration of a plant phenotype that is altered due to a first transgene which when expressed inhibits expression of an endogenous plant gene, the process comprising introducing into said plant, or progeny thereof, a second transgene which encodes a protein or polypeptide that is capable of substituting the function of the protein or polypeptide product encoded by the said endogenous gene and wherein the nucleotide sequence identity of the transcripts encoded by the second transgene and the first transgene is less than 90 %.</p> |
