The direction finding system simulates persistence on a screen for an image that is produced by a number of sequential images on the screen. As each new image is added, the oldest one is cancelled. Colour and grey tones may be used for representations. The colours and grey tones are stored in a table in memory together with the background value. Each image to be displayed is defined by points held in a video memory, with the table accessed to provide the colours. ADVANTAGE - Provides real time processing for large quantities of data.
