<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to lock the phases of two workpieces, by providing a master shaft and a master shaft phase detecting means on a first movable bed, and by providing a master sleeve and a master sleeve phase detecting means on a second bed. CONSTITUTION:A master shaft 14 and a master sleeve 16 are rotated by rotary means 13, 17 while first and second movable beds 11, 12 are advanced. Thereafter, the phases of the master shaft 14 and the master sleeve 16 are detected by first and second detecting means 15, 16, and the master sleeve 16 is rotated by a value corresponding to the difference in phase between both master shaft 14 and the master sleeve 16, by means of a rotating means 17 with reference to the phase of the master shaft 16. Then, the phases of the master shaft 14 and the master sleeve 16 are locked together, and therefore, the phases of a clutch unit 4 and a main shaft 6 are locked together.</p> |
