A method for transferring liquid media from a first solid to a second solid which has a surface structure, the liquid medium firstly being conveyed by the first solid, which has a resilient, but dimensionally stable surface, into depressions in the surface of the first solid, said depressions forming an irregular, random (stochastic) pattern, and the resilient, but dimensionally stable surface of the first solid being deformed due to pressure resulting from contact with the second solid in such a way that the liquid medium is transferred, due to the pressure effect thus involved, from the stochastically distributed depressions in the first solid into the depressions in the surface of the second solid. The device for carrying out the method according to the invention is constructed either completely or at least on the surface from a resilient, but dimensionally stable material and has a surface structure which forms an irregular, random (stochastic) pattern with a peak-to-valley height of Rz > 20 mu m. <IMAGE> |
