<p>This brake pad wear indicator for a motor vehicle comprises an electric cable (1) insulated in a plastic sheath and intended to convey an electric signal signalling wear of the pad (12) to which it is fixed, and includes, at one of its ends, an end-fitting (5) overmoulded onto the cable (1) capable of being received in the seat (13) provided for this purpose in the rear part of the pad (12), the said end-fitting (5) terminating in a collar (4) forming a stop intended to bear on the zone which is peripheral to the seat (13) of the pad (12). The end-fitting (5) is intended to be inserted forcibly into the seat (13) in the pad (12) and exhibits a longitudinal slit (10) extending radially from the central zone adjacent to the cable (1) as far as the periphery, this being over the entire length of the end-fitting (5), with the exception of the collar (4). <IMAGE></p> |
