<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a solid fuel highly convenient for burning in boilers, drying ovens, etc., at a low cost, by adjusting the moisture of a roughly crushed solid organic waste containing high polymers and extrusion molding the resultant adjusted and crushed waste under high compression. CONSTITUTION:Various solid organic wastes containing high polymers are roughly crushed to afford a roughly crushed material, which is then dried or humidified to give 8-15wt% moisture content. The roughly crushed material after adjusting the moisture content is extrusion molded under >=600kg/cm<2> pressure. In the process, the high polymers in the wastes are formed into a semimolten state by the compression heat and act as a binder to give the aimed tough solid fuel having about 5,500-7,500kal/kg calorific value.</p> |
