In the optical transmission of an analog signal of wide bandwidth (e.g. CATV) in the range of, for example, (47-860) MHz, it is intended to offer an additional service, the signal of which takes up a narrow bandwidth (e.g. a digital signal), in the range of ( APPROX 0-30) MHz. The frequency band of (0-860) MHz is separated at the receiving end into a first frequency band (FB1) of ( APPROX 0-30) MHz and into a second frequency band (FB2) of (47-860) MHz by means of an optical receiver (4) with frequency band splitter. A photocurrent coming from a photodiode 3 flows through a first circuit section 1 and a second circuit section 2. The first circuit section 1 is used for separating the first frequency band (FB1) and the second circuit section 2 is used for separating the second frequency band (FB2). <IMAGE> |
