PURPOSE:To enhance the manufacturing efficiency and suppress the product costs by forming a plurality of contact springs in a single piece structure through a carrier, separating springs from one another, and fitting by pressure into the housing of a jack. CONSTITUTION:A band-shaped carrier 22 by spring material of the material for contact spring 14, three spring parts for example including three contact springs corresponding to one jack, and a plurality of thin branches to connect these spring parts with respective carriers 22 are gathered and subjected to a press shaping into a single body. The shaping is formed in a channel by 90 deg. folding the branches so that the contact springs 14 are all directed inward in a position outermore than the cutting place (farther from the carrier 22). Processing is made to the spring material for a plurality of jacks at a certain pitch, and if necessary, one portion 40 is cut off and used, and the spacing of contact springs is made identical to that within the housing 11. This permits enhancing the manufacturing efficiency and suppressing the product costs.
