PURPOSE:To always secure the consistency of a data base of a host computer and a data base of a work station, in the on-line system consisting of the host computer and the work station connected thereto. CONSTITUTION:In the host computer 10, when new data is generated by a result of execution and a processing of a transaction, its data base 13 is updated by using this new data, and also, the new data is transferred immediately to a work station 20, and a data base 23 of the work station 20 is also updated in the same way. When new data is generated in the work station 20, as well, the data base 23 of the work station is updated, and also, the new data is transferred immediately to the host computer 10, and its data base 13 is updated in the same way.
