<p>PURPOSE:To provide a tool managing method and device which permits the tool life control to be accurately and easily carried out individually. CONSTITUTION:According to this tool control method, the number of processing runs is written in an index tag 2 installed on a tool for each processing unit, and on the basis of the cumulated number of processing runs, the life control of the tool is conducted. An associate device with this method is equipped with such an index tag as described 2 and a read/write device 5 installed on the processing machine side and consisting of a writing means to write the number of processing runs per processing unit in the index tag 2 and a reading means to read the number of processing runs from the index tag 2.</p> |
