PURPOSE:To decompose many kinds of hardly decomposable multihalogenated org. compds. by effecting a decomposition reaction by the reaction heat generated by adding hydrogen peroxide and a ferric salt to a soln. of an electron- donating compd. contg. a superoxide generating agent and having the loan pair electrons dissolving the hardly decomposable multihalogenated org. compds. CONSTITUTION:The decomposition reaction is effected by the reaction heat generated by adding hydrogen peroxide and the ferric salt to the soln. of the electron-donating compd. contg. the superoxide generating agent and having the loan pair electrons dissolving the hardly decomposable multihalogenated org. compds. As a result, the hardly decomposable multihalogenated org. compds. are safely decomposed at a low temp. by forming highly toxic dioxines. The construction cost of a decomposition device is low. In addition, this method is applicable to any of many kinds of the hardly decomposable multihalogenated org. compds., such as fluorocarbon and chlorocarbon, in addition to PCB. |
