SURFACE-MODIFIED POLYMER MATERIAL

摘要

PURPOSE:To modify the surface of a polymer material, even when it has a high crystallinity due to orientation by stretching, without detriment to its inherent characteristics by subjecting the sheet to a surface graft polymn. under specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a polymer material (e.g. a polyethylene terephthalate sheet oriented by thermal stretching) is modified by bringing at least a part of the surface into contact with a good solvent for the material (e.g. toluene) and subjecting the sheet to a surface graft polymn. (e.g. the surface graft polymn. of methoxyethyl acrylate with a low-temp. plasma) in the absence of the solvent.
