PURPOSE:To contrive to miniaturize the printer concerned and to prevent ink from drooping onto the base board by a method wherein main board for controlling a mechanism section and power source board for supplying power to the mechanism section are respectively and vertically arranged basically at the left and right of the mechanism section equipped with a printing head and a paper feeding mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The printer concerned is equipped with a mechanism section 100, which includes a printing head and a paper feeding mechanism, a main board unit 200, which controls the mechanism section 100, and a power source board unit 300, which feeds power to the units respectively. In this case, the main board 210 and the power source board 310 of the respective units 200 and 300 are vertically arranged on both the left and right sides of the mechanism section 100. Further, both the boards 210 and 310 are respectively covered with shielding boxes 220 and 320, which connect with a shielding plate 15, which is provided at the bottom of the lower case 11 of the printer and, at the same time, the bottom plate 321 of the shielding box 320 is connected with earth. Furthermore, the respective shielding boxes 220 and 320 are connected with each other through respective frames 140 and 150, which are made of electrically conductive material of the mechanism section 100. |
