PURPOSE:To provide a vibration damping gear in which noise and vibration are reduced by forming the gear of a material which has a specific elastic loss factor and elastic modulus. CONSTITUTION:A vibration damping gear is formed of a material which has an elastic loss factor (tan delta) of 0.06-10.0 in dynamic elastic modulus at the temperature of 0-60 deg.C, and an elastic modulus (E') of 0.5X10<10>-300X10<10>dyn/cm<2>. For the material of the damping gear, a material which consists of 98wt.% of a damping hard material constituent and 2-30wt.% of a sliding material constituent, is used, and the gear, which is formed so that its meshing precision of a tooth flank is the fourth class or above in JGMA 116-01, is made of a resin injection molding product. For the damping hard material constituent, ABS or the like is used, while base resin such as high density polyethylene and sliding powder such as carbon black are used for the sliding material constituents. |
