CONSTITUTION:This new melon having at least one dominant gene to express weakly acidic pH value in the pulp and at least one dominant gene to express juicy texture in the pulp, exhibiting acid taste as well as sweet taste and having high commercial value can be produced by hybridizing a melon having at least one dominant gene to express weakly acidic pH value in the pulp and at least one recessive gene to express powdery texture in the pulp with a cultured melon having at least one recessive gene to express neutral pH value in the pulp and at least one dominant gene to express juicy texture in the pulp.
