<p>PURPOSE:To effectively suppress foaming of polycarboxylic acid high polymers with the addition a small amt. of an antiform and to compound the anti foam to polycarboxylic acid high polymers use as a scale inhitor or the like by using a water-soluble polyalkylene glycol compd. expressed by specified formula having specified or larger mol. wt. CONSTITUTION:The antiforming method for an aqueous solution with the addition of polyalkylene glycol compd. is constituted by using a water-soluble polyalkylene glycol compd. expressed by formula having >=500mol.wt. In formula, R<1> and R<2> are each independently hydrogen atom, alkyl group alkenyl, group alkylphenyl group acyl group or carboxylic acid residue, (n) is an integer 2 or 3 and one molecule may contain units of n=2 and n=3, and (m) is an optional number. The using amt. of this compd. depends on the kind, concn., and the application field of polycarboxylic acid polymers, and usually, its effect can be obtd. by 0.001-10wt.% or the polymer.</p> |
