<p>PURPOSE:To omit extra setting process, etc., when a tool is to be re-mounted from a trial machine to a processing machine, allow the lifetime control of the tool to accurately and easily be carried out individually, and provide a remarkably enhanced waking effectiveness. CONSTITUTION:A tool control device is equipped with a processing machine 5 to make processing of a work upon mounting a tool and a trial machine 3 to sharpen the cutting edge of the tool. Each tool is fitted with an index tag 2, and the trial machine 3 is equipped with a writing means 4 which writes the sharpening information in the index tag 2 while the processing machine 5 is furnished with a reading means 7 which reads the sharpening information from the index tag 2. According to this tool control method, such an index tag 2 is fixed to each of the tools which are installed in the processing machine 5 and perform processing of the work, the applicable sharpening information is written in the index tag 2 when the tool is sharpened by the trial machine 3, and also the written information is read out of the index tag 2 at the processing and entered into the processing machine 5.</p> |
