<p>PURPOSE:To manufacture an IC card having a low manufacturing cost and excellent external appearance quality by forming a recess for containing an IC module without striking mark. CONSTITUTION:After a separate layer 9 is provided between a core sheet 1 and cover films 2, 3 corresponding to stepped recesses 6, 8 of a card board 4, a recess 8 is punched by a cutter 10, a ringlike groove 20 which does not reach the rear cover film 3 is formed by cutting by using a rotary cutter 11 having a relief of a larger thickness than the core sheet with the recess 6 at a rotating center and a cutting edge only at a part of an outer periphery, and a pluglike part 13 is discharged. The film 3 does not generate a strain such as a striking mark, recess, etc. An IC module 5 and a circuit board 7 are contained fixedly in the recesses 6 and 8. An IC card 15 having a low manufacturing cost and excellent external appearance quality is manufactured.</p> |
