<p>PURPOSE:To suppress a meander from spreading based on detection by detecting an initial speed of the meander, in a conveying belt of an image forming device for conveying papers. CONSTITUTION:In an image forming device provided with a belt for conveying papers, the device is provided with a detecting means for detecting a position in a belt width direction of a position deciding mark provided in the belt, to detect a position stored of the belt in an initial condition before driving by detecting the mark by the detecting means, and the position of the mark is detected to be stored by the detecting means after passing a predetermined belt amount, to calculate a meander amount of the belt by a difference between the initial position of the mark and the position of the mark after passing. By these compared results, a value of the meander amount can be known by discriminating to what degree the belt is displaced in its width direction.</p> |
