<p>PURPOSE:To reduce an effective area of adsorbent by providing a mesh-like base member, and arranging the adsorbent in meshes of the base member. CONSTITUTION:A screen-like base member 100 has a mesh member 1 and a ring-like body 2. Desired granular adsorbent, for instance activated carbon 3 is set on the mesh member 1 for screening. The mesh member 1 in which the activated carbon 3 to be screened is heated by a proper means so as to soften the mesh member 1 for enabling deformation and widening meshes 11. The activated carbon 3 on the screen is pressed against the mesh member 1 by means of roller pressurizing or the like. After heating and pressurizing, the mesh member 1 is cooled by air cooling or the like. The activated carbon 3 press-fitted to the meshes 11 is fastened and fixed to each of the meshes. Since a contact area of the mesh member 1 is small, an effective area of the adsorbent is relatively increased.</p> |
